Minnie ''Honey'' Wood

Minnie O. Wood, 82, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2004, at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, at Green Acres Baptist Church with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at McCullough Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1544, Warner Robins, GA 31099-1544.

Mrs. Wood was born in Shannon, Mississippi, and was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. A charter member of Green Acres Baptist Church, she was also a member of the Martha Bible Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. “Jim” Wood, and parents, Joseph Worthy Prude, Sr., and Blanche Prude.

Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Lee, Warner Robins; two sons, Larry Jenkins, Dover, FL, and H. Ray Jenkins, Fayetteville, GA; brother, Marvin L. Prude, Birmingham, AL; sister, Helen O. Blackmon, Clanton, AL; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
