Monica Ann Labrecque of Bonaire, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021.
Monica spent most of her life as a resident of Chicopee, Massachusetts until moving to Bonaire, Georgia two years ago. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 20, 1953, she was the daughter of predeceased parents, Monroe and Patricia Shoener. A graduate of Cathedral High School, she attended Holyoke Community College where she earned her degree as a registered nurse. Her love of the ocean led her to a summer getaway in Rhode Island where she spent many nights listening to the ocean waves and taking in the salt air, hosting her beloved family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Robert G. Labrecque of Bonaire; four sons and their wives, Gerard R. Labrecque and wife, Jennifer of Chicopee, MA, Ryan M. Labrecque and wife, Caitlin of Kileen, TX, Anthony M. Labrecque and wife, Rowena of Bonaire, and Robert D. Labrecque and wife, Melissa, of Chicopee, MA; her grandchildren, Cristal A. Labrecque, Kristin E. Labrecque, Anthony M. Labrecque, Jr., and Robert M. Labrecque. She also leaves three siblings, Michelle Kelly, Nancy Davis, and Mark Shoener.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Monica will be laid to rest privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in memory of Monica Labreque to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
