Monica Leigh Cassidy

Monica Leigh Cassidy, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the age of 51. A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, Monica was born on August 20, 1973, to Linda Lacey Cassidy of Kathleen, and Ernest Dean Cassidy of Fort Valley.

Monica was a graduate of Northside High School, where her vibrant personality and sense of humor made a lasting impression. Outgoing and quick to share a laugh, Monica had a unique ability to make everyone around her smile. After high school, Monica worked as a property manager for Elon Property management.

Above all, Monica will be remembered as a loving and dedicated mother. She supported her daughter through every endeavor, from cheerleading to gymnastics and beyond.

Monica was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lonnie S. and Doris H. Lacey, and Ernest and Trudy Cassidy; as well as her aunt, Connie Lacey.

In addition to her parents, Monica is survived by her beloved daughter, Makayla Cassidy; brothers, Jamie Cassidy (Gina) of Panama City and Ollie Cassidy; stepmother, Deborah Cassidy; nieces and nephews, Lil’ Jamie, Caden, Lacey, Mikey, Kennedy, Molly; uncle, Sebie Lacey (Vicki) of Bonaire; beloved cousin, Adrian Cassidy (Wendy) of Perry, Florida; as well as several other extended family members and friends.

A visitation with Monica’s family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Afterward, Monica Leigh Cassidy will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
