Monroe R. Glass

Monroe R. Glass, 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014.

Born on October 31, 1925 in Linden, Alabama, he proudly served our country in the United States Army for a short time and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He called Shirley Hills Baptist his church home.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha Virginia Glass; and parents, Hugh Raymond and Bertha Ballard Glass.

Monroe's memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Jennifer Kelley (Rusty) of Houston, Texas and Jeff Glass (Christine) of Blue Ridge, Georgia; grandchildren, Bruce Kelley, Sally Geib, Caitlin Lightfoot, Susan Fountain, Jessica Bruner and Josh and Justin Glass; great-grandchildren, Braeden, Ella and Emma Kelley, Rue Fountain, and Will and Amon Lightfoot.

Visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Parkway Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Monroe R. Glass to Shirley Hills Baptist Church, 615 Corder Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
