MSG Jack Luther Adams, 70, entered into rest on Friday, October 15, 2010.
MSG Adams was born on December 31, 1939 in Douglas, GA, but at a young age, he and his family moved to Oak Ridge, TN. MSG Adams proudly served 8 years active duty in the United States Air Force and the last 30 years of his service in the Army Reserve. He retired from Lockheed Martin in 1997; in 1999, he retired from the Army Reserve. At the time of his passing, MSG Adams was employed by Georgia Peach Shuttle, located in Byron. He was a devoted businessman and dedicated to his family; in his free time, MSG Adams enjoyed working in the yard, keeping up with football and NASCAR, and traveling with his family. MSG Adams is preceded in death by his parents, John and Rebecca Adams.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Patsy Dean Adams; son, Daniel Adams, Warner Robins; daughter, Edie Parsons, Kill Devil Hills, NC; brothers, Jimmy and William Adams, both of Clinton, TN; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services, officiated by Reverend Todd Shearin, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with entombment following Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
