Ernest R. Pubanz, 71, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 29, 2010.
Mr. Pubanz was born on July 17, 1938 in Nepenskun, Wisconsin. A proud veteran, serving during the Vietnam era, MSgt Pubanz retired from the United States Air Force. Subsequently, he retired from Robins Air Force Base as a civil service employee. Ernest was a devoted and loving family man and an avid outdoorsman. His parents, Reinhold and Ruth Pubanz; sister, Mary Wismer, and his father-in-law, Edward Newberry, all preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Betty Newberry Pubanz, Bonaire; children, Tammy Jones, Warner Robins; Tina Carter, Suwanee; Edward Pubanz, Bonaire; Craig Pubanz (Lisa), Warner Robins; four grandchildren, Carolyn Hall (Jason), Steven Carter, Drew Jones, Mandi Jones; one great grandchild, Aubrey Claire (Aguilar) Hall; siblings, Wayne Pubanz (Sandy), Eylene Boozer, Shirley Neiman, Kathy Burds (Will), Carol Pubanz; mother-in-law, Louise Newberry; sister-in-law, Mary Layton; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, July 2, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 3, in Southside Baptist Church, with the Reverends Dennis Clark and Randall Nash officiating. Entombment will follow in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2302 Parklake Drive NE, Atlanta, GA 30345.
