Fred Henry Raschke, 83, passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
Born on April 6, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, Fred was the son of the late Fred Theodore and Margaret Stoecker Raschke. A Vietnam War veteran, Fred courageously served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years and served three tours in Thailand supporting the Vietnam War before retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. After retirement, Fred worked civil service on Robins Air Force Base as a Steam Plant Lead for an additional 20 years. After his second and final retirement, Fred enjoyed traveling, planning family vacations, finding treasures at antique stores, and collecting model railroad trains.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Fred J. Raschke of Warner Robins; Lori Raschke (Jeanne) of Byron; Debbie Raschke of Centerville; Kim Williamson (Brian) of Calhoun; Dwayne Raschke (Derek) of Byron; and Wes Raschke of Centerville; grandchildren, Rebecca Raschke Quigg, Jake Raschke, Tera Williamson, Mike Williamson, Tom Williamson, Joel Williamson; and five great-grandchildren.
The graveside memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Andersonville National Cemetery with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of MSgt. Fred Henry Raschke, USAF (Ret.) to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
