MSgt. George C. Greenman, USAF (Ret.), 88, of Bonaire, Ga., passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022.

George was born on October 9, 1933 in Daytona Beach, Fl. to the late Nettie Mae and Jack Carlton Greenman. He lived all of his younger years in Daytona Beach and graduated from Mainland High School in 1952. After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served 20 years providing Security Service in Korea, Germany, Okinawa and Vietnam. He received honors with an award of the Joint Services Commendation Medal for merit services during the Vietnam War. George retired from the Air Force in 1972 and eventually settled in Warner Robins, Ga. where he met and married Shelia "Diane" Ingram. After retirement, he held the position of Supervisor/District Manager with Majik Market Convenience Stores until 1999.

In his younger years, he enjoyed activities as a Cub Scout Master and managed little league baseball. In his aging years, he devoted a lot of his time to genealogy research, painting pictures, and working with photos that he enjoyed sharing. He eagerly looked forward to volunteering at the annual Georgia National Fair in Perry, Ga. He was a devoted member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church in Byron, Ga.

His wife, Diane Greenman; a son, Richard Greenman; sister, Edna Bradley; and brother, Michael Greenman preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughters, Kim Bell, Bonaire, Ga.; Teresa Burdine (Andrew) of Perry, Ga.; and Paige Shugart (Charlie) of Bonaire, Ga.; son, Randy Ingram (Kimberly) of Elko, Ga; sister, Nancy Reynolds (Frank) of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.; brother, David Greenman (Kathleen) of Pensacola, Fl.; 13 grandchildren, Ashley Cusick, Dylan Ingram, Eve Ingram, Jacob Burdine, Kathryn Bell, Kelly Frank, Lilly Burdine, Megan Horton, Molly Ingram, Nicholas Greenman, Sonja Sears, Ridge Turner Ingram, Thomas Ingram; 11 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Austin, Bella, Cameron, Carley, Brayden, Easton, Karlee, Mark, Memphis, and Wyatt.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. MSgt. George C. Greenman, USAF (Ret.) will be privately laid to rest next to his wife in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
