On the morning of Sunday, May 22, 2016, Gerald Wayne Earwood joined his beloved wife, Jeri K.Y. Earwood in Heaven. He was 85 years old.
Gerald was born in Cumby, Texas, a son of the late Perry Joseph and Etta Pearl Sexton Earwood. He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant and later retired from First Hawaiian Bank in Honolulu, Hawaii, as well.
A skilled handyman, Gerald had a passion for woodworking and computers. He was also a strong believer in charity work and devoted much of his time to volunteering at F.A.I.T.H. (Fighting Abuse in the Home) Thrift Store in Rabun County. Wiley Presbyterian Church in Wiley, Georgia was his church home.
In addition to his wife and parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Earwood; and his brothers, Nolan and Harrel Earwood.
Gerald leaves his memory behind with his loving children, Linda Watson (Ned) of Fort Valley, Charles Earwood of Key West, Florida, and Michael Earwood (Lee Ann) of Bonaire; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Herman D. Earwood of Fort Worth, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4th at the Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home. At the family's request, burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Gerald to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
