Jacob Taylor, 77, entered into heaven on Monday, March 21, 2016.
Jacob was born on February 4, 1939 in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Johnny and Alma Lemon Taylor. He lived the majority of his younger years in Asheville, it was there that he was baptized at an early age and graduated from Stephens-Lee High School. With great pride and honor Jacob served in the United States Air Force for 26 years, before retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. In the years following his active duty service, he worked Civil Service for 20 years at Robins Air Force Base. Jacob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Annie Mae Taylor and Gladys Letman.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 40 years, Beulah Smith Taylor of Warner Robins; children, Shalonda Simmons of Nashville, Tennessee; Rodderick Smith of Warner Robins; Cynthia Smith (Shedrick) of Indianapolis, Indiana; Sherrilynn Jackson of Warner Robins; sister, Margaret Taylor of Asheville, North Carolina; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other beloved family members.
Visitation with Jacob's family will be Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services with full military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016 in the Chapel of McCullough.
