James Brooke Chambers, 79, entered into rest on Saturday, October 22, 2011.
Mr. Chambers was born on February 11, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With pride and honor and after twenty three years, MSgt Chambers retired from the United States Air Force in 1975. Subsequent to his outstanding military career, he worked as a Mechanic at Gold Cup Bowling Center. An avid Atlanta Braves fan and Bowler, he was a member of the Warner Robins Bowling Association and bowled on the Senior League. His parents, James and Rose Chambers, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of twenty three years, Grace Smallwood Chambers, Kathleen; children, Rosemary (Matt) Tyykila, San Antonio, Texas; Kathy Chambers Chafin, Warner Robins; Jay Chambers, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; stepchildren, Cindy (George) Williams, Greenwood, South Carolina; Tom Coley, Apopka, Florida; brother, Ed Chambers, Wayne, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening, October 25, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery with full military honors.
