James W. Mealey, 59, entered into rest on September 5, 2008.
Mr. Mealey was born on January 8, 1949, in San Bernardino, California. With pride and honor, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a computer engineer, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, the Barbershop Harmony Society, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His daughter, Emily M. Mealey, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of forty-one years, Deborah DuBose Mealey; parents, James Lee and Martha M. Weiss Mealey, Houston, Texas; children, Leslie A. Pyper (Aaron), Michelle L. Siebers (Skip), Laura E. Shaffstall (Robert), James K. Mealey (Tanya), Thomas O. Mealey (Katie), Jennifer R. Boland (Ryan) and Erin L. Howe (Rob); brothers, John H. Mealey, Moab, Utah, and Matthew R. Mealey, Spring, Texas; and twenty-three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 7, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Warner Robins; Bishop Randie Harris officiating. Private interment will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery. Flowers may be given or the family suggests donations be made to Hospice Care Options, 1125 Walnut Street, Macon GA 31201.
