Msgt John Mcqueen Buchanan, Usaf (Ret)

John McQueen Buchanan, 81, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.

Mr. Buchanan was born on July 12, 1930 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late James and Johnnie Buchanan. He was of the Protestant faith. With pride, honor, and commitment MSgt Buchanan retired from the United States Air Force. Serving during the Vietnam era, he was a recipient of the Bronze Star and many distinguished awards and recognitions. Subsequent to his twenty one year military career, John owned and operated Buchanan Realty. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In addition to his parents, his son, Bill Buchanan, one sister and four brothers, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Patricia Lee Buchanan, Warner Robins; son and daughter in law, Richard and Patty Buchanan; daughter in law, Nancy Buchanan; grandchildren, Megan Buchanan Harris (Lee), Meredith Buchanan, Page Buchanan, Curtis Buchanan (Nicole); great grandchild, Ayden Buchanan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Prior to the service, the family will greet visitors beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private entombment will be in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the donor's favorite charity or to First Baptist Church of Warner Robins, 1135 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
