Msgt. Lillian Parks Hadley-Small, Usaf (Ret.)

August 2, 1955 — April 30, 2018

Lillian Parks Hadley-Small was born on August 2, 1955 in Huntsville, Alabama. She was the first child born to the late Ms. Alice Pauline Parks. Her sudden departure from this earth on April 30, 2018 has left us heartbroken.

Tuttie, as she was affectionately called by her family, graduated from Huntsville High School and attended Alabama A&M University, majoring in Accounting. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Oral Roberts University and a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Walden University.

Minister Hadley-Small began her military career as an Accounting and Finance Specialist, in Hahn Air Force Base, Germany, while stationed at Hahn she accepted Christ as her personal Savior in 1978. In addition to serving at Hahn AB, she was assigned to McGuire AFB, New Jersey, Homestead Air Force Base, Florida, Kunsan Air Base Korea, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, Aviano Air Base Italy, Castle Air Force Base, California, Anderson Air Base Guam, Vandenberg Air Force Base California, Saudi Arabia and Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. During her tour at Aviano Air Base she was selected as Comptroller NCO of the Quarter five times. She was also selected as the Outstanding NCO of the Year, and nominated for woman of the year.

In April 1997, she graduated from the First Sergeants Academy and was assigned to Robins Air Force Base, Georgia as First Sergeant to the 19th Operations Support Squadron, the 99th Air Refueling Squadron and the 19th Aircraft Generation Squadron, retiring as Master Sergeant.

The Lord called her to proclaim the Gospel and minister to His people in 1980. It happened while on her knees before God in prayer during a period of fasting and consecration in Homestead Florida. She used every military assignment as an opportunity to minister the Word of God and serve His people. Her last military assignment to Warner Robins GA was a divine appointment to serve at End-time-Harvest Christian Church under Pastor Melvin Womack, ordained in 2000. In 2008, Lillian was sent to the mission fields doing missionary work and teaching English in Sendai, Japan and Bahia, Brazil.

Lillian served as a Crime Victims Advocate with HODAC for over 10 years, dedicated to helping people who have been hurt or abused, serving Houston and Peach County to include Robins AFB. Her last earthly assignment was working as a Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. Lillian was recognized as a Woman of Excellence for her service to the Sumter, SC community

In her spare time, she enjoyed sharing the Gospel, studying the Bible, playwriting, taking long drives, traveling to foreign countries, talking trash while playing the game “Words with Friends”, and spending quality time with her husband and family.

Lillian was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lillian Newton Parks, and brother, Anthony Parks.

Lillian is survived by her husband, Eduardo “Ed” Small, children, Troy Hadley of Fargo, ND, Jamaal (Kamilla) Hadley of Tel Aviv, Israel, Alycia Hadley of Seoul, Korea, Toreka Eason of Canton, GA, E.
