Paul Conley, 74, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2007.
Mr. Conley was born on June 15, 1932 in Lackey, KY. With loyalty and honor, MSgt. Conley served as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Air Force and as a civil servant maintaining C-130’s and B-52’s. He retired from the Air Force in 1971 and from Robins Air Force Base in 1994. He was of the Baptist faith. His first wife, Sarah Ganas Conley, son, Paul Monte Conley, parents, Monte and Amanda G. Conley, and siblings, Earnway Edward Conley Ermal E. McDonald, and James Monte Conley, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Hassel Lee Conley; children, Barbara Jo Griffin, Elizabeth “Beth” McLaughlin, Michael Lee Conley, all of Bonaire, GA; Jennifer C. Franklin, Kathleen, GA; Jean C. Fowler, Warner Robins, GA; stepchildren, Marty Bill Meeks, Sacramento, CA; Teresa L.L. Meeks, Bonaire, GA; William Phillip Meeks, Byron, GA; Lisa Renee Wright, Vance AFB, OK; siblings, Barbara F. Conley, Lackey, KY; John M. Conley, Williamsburg, OH; Jean C. Myers, Georgetown, KY; grandchildren, Stephanie Phillips, Paul Griffin, Justin Burris, Zachary Burris, Nathan Fowler, Jake Fowler, Michael Conley, Suzanne Conley, Kristin Conley, Max Franklin, Sarah Franklin, Alexis Meeks, Brandon Baker, Wade Baker, Jackson Meeks, and one great grandson, Cole Phillips.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, in Burnt Church Cemetery located in Lakeland, Georgia.
