Rena Alice Fox-Schmidt, 62, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 29, 2020.
Rena was born on October 1, 1957 to Julene Fox and the late David Elmer Fox. She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force deployed during, Desert Storm/Shield, Bosnian, Kosovo, and The War in Afghanistan. Rena retired with 27 years in the military having attained the rank of Master Sergeant. Following her career in the Air Force, she was a Civil Servant with Homeland Security and then at Robins Air Force Base from where she also retired.
A devoted member of the River Church in Kathleen, she deeply loved the Lord and her family. For fun, Rena enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling.
Rena’s memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 17 years, Reinhard Lee Schmidt; son, Lewis Fox (Veronica); grandchildren, Maria, Antonio, and Maya Fox; mother, Julene Ardith Fox; sisters, Deanna Sharpe (Dennis), Maschil Diane Norris (Robert), and Sheila Heather Carpenter (Charles “Chuck”); and niece and nephews, Kyle Norris, Heather Driscoll, William Thomas, Jacob Norris, and David and Daniel Sharpe.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 25, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at The River Church. A memorial service celebrating Rena’s life will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Rena to Sidecar Adventures, 340 Tom West Road, Eastman, GA 31023.
