Robert Brauer, 73, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017.
Robert was born on April 14, 1944 in East St. Louis, Illinois. A proud Vietnam veteran, he served his country in the United States Air Force for twenty years. Following his military career, he worked for the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. before moving to Warner Robins, Georgia in 1999. Robert was an avid outdoorsman and animal lover, in his spare time he enjoyed skeet shooting and raising rescue animals. He was also an active supporter of the Military United Service Organizations, Wounded Warrior Project, Humane Society, and several animal charities.
His mother, Dorothy Buswell and father, Robert Brauer, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his son, Michael Brauer of Iowa Park, Texas; grandchildren, Brenna Butcher, Bella Brauer; greatgrandson, Brenson Pierce; sister, Karen Buswell; and brother, Randy Brauer.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Georgia Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with full military honors.
