MSgt. Robert Anthony Reilmann, USAF (Ret.)

April 22, 1952 — February 19, 2025

Centerville

Robert “Bob” Reilmann, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was peacefully called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 19, 2025. He was 72 years old.

Bob was born on April 22, 1952, in Bossier City, Louisiana, to the late Romanus and Adelphia Reilmann. He was raised in Breese, Illinois, and lived a life dedicated to service, love, and family.

A proud and dedicated serviceman, Bob retired as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. He was a member of the Two Thousand Hour Club as a flight engineer on the C-130 Hercules. Following his military retirement, Bob went on to serve as the Chief Flight Engineer for AVAtlantic in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Savannah, Georgia. He later worked with AVDyne at the Baltimore Washington International Airport and Daly Computers in Frederick, Maryland.

Bob was a lifelong member of the VFW, first with Post 9555 at Yokota AFB in Japan, and later with Post 2524-Burton Hammond in Culpepper, Virginia. He was also a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he actively participated in the community.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Reilmann; brothers-in-law, Doug Furtwengler and Don Cudworth; and son-in-law, Darren LaBonte.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gail, with whom he shared 46 wonderful years of marriage. Bob was a proud and ever-present father to Racheal LaBonte, Joseph Reilmann, and a cherished grandfather, affectionately known as “Bobpi,” to Raina LaBonte, Isaac Reilmann, and Ellis Green.

Bob’s love extended deeply to his siblings: Jerry Reilmann (Sue), Susie Essenpreis (Dave), Phyllis Furtwengler, Warren Reilmann (Lisa), Steve Reilmann, Stan Reilmann (Kathy), Terri Parmenter (Jim), and Peggy Cudworth. He was also a devoted brother-in-law to John and Nancy Holliday, and Mark Smith, and will be remembered fondly by his many nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom he treasured dearly.

A Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at McCullough Funeral Home, with a memorial gathering immediately following until 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Bob will be laid to rest privately at Culpepper National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Bob to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund or Sacred Heart Catholic Church Pastors Discretionary Fund at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 300 South Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
