William Wayne Walker, 77, entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, February 24, 2012.
Mr. Walker was born on February 20, 1935 in Oxford, Mississippi to the late Haywood and Eva Mae Spencer Walker. For over thirty years, he was an active member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church where he taught the Betty's Bunch Sunday School Class. A resident of Warner Robins since 1973, Mr. Walker loved his family, his church, and his community. With pride, honor and courage, MSgt Walker served his country in the United States Air Force for twenty two years. Subsequent to his military retirement, he owned and operated Action Painting. In addition to his parents, his son, Michael Wayne Walker; and one sister, Melba June Freeman, all preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of forty years, Pismai Walker; son, Robert Walker; daughter and son in law, Catherine and Jamie Rowe, all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Aaron and Noah Newton; adopted son, his yellow lab, Homer; and a host of extended family members and close friends.
Visitation will be Sunday evening, February 26, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Andy Cook officiating. Interment will be private.
