Msgt.Thomas Joseph Hunt, Usaf (Ret.)

Thomas Joseph Hunt, 84, entered into rest on Thursday, April 23, 2009.

Mr. Hunt was born on January 28, 1925 in Elberton, Georgia. With great pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Navy and the United States Air Force for a total of thirty-one years, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a decorated veteran of three wars, World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Conflict. He loved woodworking and traveling worldwide. He will truly be missed by his family and many friends both in America and overseas. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Benjamin Hunt and Ralph Leonard Hunt, and his parents, Leonard Hunt and Nuell Bullard Hunt.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Micheline Maillot Hunt; sisters-in-law Martha Stratton Hunt, Elberton, and Betty Hunt, Faith, North Carolina; nephews, David (Barbara) Hunt, Elberton, and Scott Hunt, Faith, North Carolina; grand-nephews, Russell Hunt, Warner Robins, Bradley Joseph Bowen, Tucker, and Brandon Lee Bowen, Elberton.

Visitation will be Monday, April 27, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2009 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton.
