Myrtle Irene Shue

Warner Robins – Irene Shue, 77, entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Mrs. Shue was born on May 21, 1933, in Concord, North Carolina. She was a faithful member of Lawrence Drive Baptist Church for many years. A longtime resident of Middle Georgia, Irene enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, crafts and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Katy Potts; siblings, Effie Potts Carreiro, Robert Potts, and Loretta Potts Reece.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of fifty nine years, James. M. Shue, Warner Robins; children, Bryan M. Shue (Diana), San Diego, CA.; Becky Thomas (Joe), Warner Robins; Monte L. Shue (Julia), Macon; Mark J. Shue (Charlotte), Statesboro; sisters, Carrie L. Trull, Myrtle Beach, SC; Frances Rollins, Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and her pet dachshund, Buddy.


Visitation will be Thursday evening, June 24, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Drive Baptist Church located at 5774 School Road, Macon, GA 31216. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010, at Lawrence Drive Baptist Church with Reverend Brad Marchman officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
