Nadine Bowers Ferguson, 81, entered into rest on Monday, January 4, 2010.
Mrs. Ferguson was born on December 24, 1928, in Yemassee, South Carolina, and was Salutatorian at Beaufort High School Class of 1945. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, children and grandchildren, and loved to travel. She retired from Robins Air Force Base in civil service as a Passport Agent. Oakland Baptist Church in Warner Robins was her church home, where she also worked in the Nursery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Master Sergeant Joel Sidney Ferguson, USMC (Ret), parents, Weyman L. Bowers and Maggie Smoak Bowers, and siblings, Weyman L. Bowers, Terrence Bowers and Lanier Bowers.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Sheri F. Benton (John W.), Monticello, Wyman S. Ferguson (Ruth), Durham, North Carolina, Joan Allen (Rick), Atlantic Beach, Florida, Pauline Schell (Mike), Centerville, Bennett C. Ferguson, Barnesville, and Eva Young (Ray), Palm Coast, Florida; grandchildren, Mariah Wojdacz, Thomas Burrell, Evan Ferguson, Matthew Ferguson, Rachel Allen, Bobby Allen, Sidney Allen, Lexy and Teddy Allen, Morgan Young; great-grandchildren, Chandler Burrell, Isaac Wojdacz, Scarlett Wojdacz; siblings, Norman Bowers, Eva B. Thielke; and beloved brother-in-law, Alviah Thielke; several nieces and nephews; and beloved cat and companion, Bullet.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 5, 2010, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Beaufort National Cemetery, South Carolina, Reverend Alviah Thielke officiating. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Warner Robins Animal Shelter, 208 Stalnaker Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088.
