Nancy Cooke Faucett

March 8, 1949 — September 24, 2015

Nancy Cooke Faucett, 66, died at home on Thursday, September 24, 2015 after a long battle with a weak heart.

Nancy was born on March 8, 1949 in Jasper, Alabama, but grew up in Northport, Alabama where she met her husband, James R. "Jim" Faucett. Nancy and Jim married on June 6, 1970 and immediately began a 20 plus year Air Force career. After Jim's retirement, they settled in Warner Robins where they lived for 23 years. Nancy and Jim made the conscious decision for Nancy to stay home and raise their two children rather than to work outside the home. This decision resulted in two very loving and caring children who grew up to love the Lord where Nancy's spirit now resides.

She also loved Alabama Football (Roll Tide!) and was a longtime and devoted member of Central Baptist Church and the Beth Ann Grant Sunday School Class. Nancy will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family, her church, and her community, serving them all faithfully during her lifetime.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling D. Cooke and Virginia DeVinny Cooke, and her brother, Mike Cooke.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 45 years, James Richard "Jim" Faucett of Warner Robins; son, Richard P. Faucett (Sherry) of Moultrie and daughter, Jennifer D. Faucett (Jeremy Cote) of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Clayton, and Brooklyn Faucett; sisters, Jewel Howard (Mike) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Anita Sullivan (Jim) of Dothan, Alabama; brother, Gary Cooke (Sara) of Northport, Alabama; and a host of adoring nieces and nephews.

On Sunday, September 27, 2015, the family will receive friends at McCullough Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Mrs. Faucett will be laid to rest on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. CDT in Williamson Cemetery, Northport, Alabama.

The family will accept flowers or donations which may be given in memory of Nancy Cooke Faucett to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 355 Lexington Ave., 15th Floor, New York, NY 10017.
