Nancy E. Brooks-Haslam

Nancy Brooks-Haslam, 75, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 22, 1941, Nancy was the daughter of the late Newton and Verlyn McLeod. She worked in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base in the late 1960s as secretary for the base commander and also as a court reporter for RAFB.

Following her career in civil service, Nancy followed her aspirations of becoming a realtor. She successfully owned two companies named Nancy Brooks Realty and Leaders in Real Estate. A lifetime member of the Central Georgia Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club, Nancy served as President of the Central Georgia Multiple Listing Service and the Central Georgia Board of Realtors. She was also Director for the Georgia Association of Realtors for seven years. Nancy served and consulted on numerous committees for the Board of Realtors and the MLS. She held The ABR, GRI, and CRS designations, as well.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Seth Stuart Haslam; and brother, Timothy McLeod.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving daughter, Lynn Brooks Owens; stepchildren, David K. Haslam and Tami Haslam (Basil); grandchildren, Ashley Owens, Shane and Jason Miller, Summar Haslam Hoopes (Aaron), and Tyler, Shari, and Jesse Haslam; and brother, Winford McLeod.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 19th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Nancy will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
