Nell Ard

Nell Ard, 76, walked into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, October 16, 2015.

On March 22, 1939, Nell was born to the late Pete and Lizzie Fowler Ham in Danville, Georgia. She retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and was a longtime member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Danville. In addition to her parents, Ms. Ard was also preceded in death by her son, Bobby Ard; and her brother, Lee Ham.

Nell's memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Terry Ard (Angie) of La Plata, Maryland and Lethia Jones (JC) of Macon; grandchildren, Casey Ard Tischer (Rodney), Brad Ard (Emily), Will Penn, and Caitlin Penn; four great-grandchildren; several beloved nieces and nephews; and beloved friend and sister, Carolyn Jeanelle Sapp.

Visitation will be Monday, October 19, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Ms. Ard will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
