Nell K. Smith

Nell K. Smith, dedicated wife, mother, and sister, passed away at her home during the early morning of Wednesday, July 15, 2015. She was 77.

On November 18, 1937, Nell K. Smith was born in Laurens County, Georgia and was of the Baptist faith. A retired civil servant of Robins Air Force Base, Nell devoted the latter years of her life to being a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed ceramics and was an avid gardener belonging to the Ikebana Flower Club. Nell also devoted her time to volunteering at Houston Medical Center. She holds a special place in the hearts of her family and friends, loved by all who knew her.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Benny F. Smith of Warner Robins; son, Kevin Kyzer Smith (Bobbie Jo) of Laurens County; and sister, Jackie K. Thigpen (Bert) of Macon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Following the service, Nell will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
