Nettie "Jo" Schmidt, 89, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017.
Jo was born on March 5, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Neil and Grace Coppage. She worked in electronics at Robins Air Force Base for many years before retiring. Jo was a member of Warner Robins Church of Christ where she was very active in several Bible Study groups and programs. She was an exceptional role model with a servant's heart, both at home and for the Lord. Jo's time spent with her beloved family, especially time with her precious grandchildren was one of her highest priorities.
Along with her parents, Jo was preceded her in death by her husband, Arthur Allen Schmidt.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Kerry Schmidt of Kennesaw; Craig Schmidt (Patty) and Charles Schmidt all of Warner Robins; Connie Schmidt-Nickelson of Morristown, Tennessee; grandchildren, Laurie Schmidt; Scott Schmidt; David Nickelson; Jonathan Nickelson; and sister, Elven Fay Truesdell of Oklahoma.
Visitation with Jo's family will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McCullough. After the service, Jo will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
