Norma Colvin Ellis, 81, entered into rest on Thursday, November 18, 2013.
Norma was born on December 18, 1931 in Calera, Alabama. After retiring from many years of Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base, she worked for the Daisy Patch Florist in Perry and Crumpler's Florist in Cochran. She was a devoted and much-loved member of the First Church of the Nazarene and of the Daughters of the Nile where she served as Queen. Norma possessed a true servant's heart and will always be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard James Ellis; daughter, Beverly Eileen Dick; son, James Norman Ellis; and parents, William P. and Sarepta Hanson Colvin.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Sharon Jacobs (Bill), Savannah, Georgia; Susan Sherrell, Shady Dale, Georgia; Vincent D. Ellis, Warner Robins, Georgia; Janet Elizabeth Cook (J.D.), McDonough, Georgia; and Julia Truman (Wayne), Byron, Georgia; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris J. Crawford, Greenville, Georgia.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at First Church of the Nazarene Warner Robins with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will accept flowers or donations may be given to Heartland Hospice, 200 Northside Crossing, Macon, GA 31210.
