Norma J. Walker, 75, entered into rest on September 1, 2009.

Ms. Walker was born on October 23, 1933 in Columbus, Georgia. She was a devoted homemaker and taught the bible for many years. She was an ordained minister and licensed Lay reader. She took great pride in being a member of Women's Aglow and the Women's Intercessor group. Ms. Walker was of the Pentecostal faith. Her parents, Carson Edwards and Eva Barker Hurley, and brother Tommy Edwards preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Hugie B. Walker; daughters, Vicki Puskaric, Salinas, California; Denise Vinke, Dallas, Texas; Cynthia Webster, Houston, Texas; Ann Marie Jones, Barlett, Texas; sons Gustavus Walker, New York; Hugie Walker, Jr., Houston, Texas; Kenneth Walker, Sharpsburg; and Daniel Walker, San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Jerri Whitworth of Lufkin, Texas; Dorothy Williams, Chandler, Texas; many grandchildren and great grandchildren..

Visitation will be Saturday, September 5, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2009, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Pastor Garmon officiating. Interment will follow in Cemetery.
