Noveline Sorrell

On November 19, 2022, Noveline McLain Sorrell, 90, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Noveline was born the oldest daughter to the late Clyde and Louise Farmer McLain.

Growing up in a musical family, Noveline had a tremendous love for music. Her father Clyde was a quartet singer and pastor who taught her music at an early age. As a child she learned and developed a love for the piano. Noveline often played as the family gathered and sang around the piano. She taught after-school piano lessons to many children and was the pianist at various Baptist churches in Warner Robins including Evergreen, Green Acres, and Westside. Noveline served her remaining years as the organist at her current church home, Sandy Valley Baptist. She also played for many school graduations, weddings, and funerals in Middle Georgia.

In addition to her parents, she is pre-deceased by her husband, Kenneth G. Sorrell, Sr. and her sister, Helen McLain Freeman.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her beloved children; Ken Sorrell (Gerri), Robert Sorrell (Frankie), Brenda McAlpin (David) and Alma Hylton (Gary); five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation with Mrs. Sorrell’s family will be Friday, November 25, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Sandy Valley Baptist Church. Funeral services celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Phil Bryant officiating. Mrs. Sorrell will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Noveline Sorrell to Sandy Valley Baptist Church at 1124 S. Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088 or Heart of Georgia Hospice at 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
