Oliver "Rip" Laminack, 84, entered into rest on Saturday, November 28, 2015.
Rip was born on October 8, 1931 in Irwin County, Georgia to the late Joseph and Vera Laminack. With pride and honor he served his country in the Army Reserves and retired civil service from Robins Air Force Base. Rip enjoyed wood working, fishing, camping and was also a licensed Ham Radio Operator and a radio enthusiast. A family man, he dearly loved and devoted his life to his family.
Rip was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law, Jimmy Posey.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Thelma Day Laminack; children, Dietra Alford (Johnny) of Kathleen and Cheryl Lashley Arnold (Larry) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Ben Lashley (Pam) of Bonaire, Amy Alford Shelton of Senoia and Amanda Lashley Chaney (Bobby) of Warner Robins; great grandchildren, Meredith and Joseph Lashley, Robbie Lunsford and Madison and Zach Mules and siblings, Jack Laminack (Rubye) of Perry and Joan Posey of Fitzgerald.
Visitation will be Monday, November 30, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Rip Laminack will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Oliver Laminack to Bonaire First Baptist Church Building Fund, 142 Hwy 96, Bonaire, Georgia 31005.
