Opal C. Mason

Opal C. Mason, 87, entered into rest on Sunday, April 1, 2012.

Mrs. Mason was born on January 16, 1925 in Dooly County, Georgia. A retired bookkeeper with Robins Air Force Base, she was a member of Chamlee Memorial Baptist Church in Fort Valley. Her parents, James O. Cross and Essie Nelson Cross; two brothers and one sister, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of thirty-four years, Thomas Mason, Warner Robins; children, Tommy Stephens (Kristen), Orlando, Florida and Charlene Boor, Phoenix, Arizona; stepson, Jack Mason (Elaine), Jesup, Georgia; brothers, J.O. Cross, Jr. (Ruth), Unadilla, Georgia, Reverend William Mobley Cross (Chalene), Centerville, and James Lee Cross (Sidney), Loganville, Georgia; sister, Janice Duncan, Peachtree City, Georgia; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
