Opal M. Phillips

Opal M. Phillips, 88, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

Mrs. Phillips was born on July 6, 1924 in West Liberty, Kentucky to the late Douglas Adams and Minnie Lou Risner Adams. She was retired from the retail industry and was a devoted member of the New Life Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, her husband of twenty years, Shirley Ellis Phillips, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Ronnie Puckett (Stephanie), Mobile, Alabama; Charlotte Brock (Ann), Fredericksburg, Virginia; Robert Phillips, Fayetteville, North Carolina; and Roger Phillips (Patricia), Fort Valley, Georgia; grandchildren, Dawn King, Ryan Puckett, Andrea Edwards, Catherine Worsham, and Michael Phillips; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Hope and Jessie King.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
