Ophelia Kimberly was summoned by God to His heavenly home on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 to join her beloved husband, Frederick "Fred" Kimberly. She was 95 years old.
Born on November 21, 1920 in Chauncey, Georgia, Ophelia was a daughter of the late William and Mary Peacock. She was a Civil Service retiree at Robins Air Force Base and a charter and lifetime member of Second Baptist Church. Mrs. Kimberly adored her church, Sunday school class, and the rest of her church family, as much as they all loved her. Aside from worshipping and being active at church, Ophelia also enjoyed working in her garden.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kimberly was preceded in death by her children, Van and Terry Kimberly.
She leaves her memory behind with her loving grandchildren, Todd Kimberly (Anita) of Warner Robins and Michelle Kimberly of Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Hannah Kimberly; and brother, Dr. W.L. Peacock (Sara) of Augusta.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 15th in Magnolia Park Cemetery where Ophelia will be laid to rest. The Reverend Mike Slade will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be given in memory of Ophelia to Second Baptist Church, 2504 Moody Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
