Mr. Otto Lamar Booth, 70, died Friday, March 14, 2003. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2003 at 11:00am at McCullough Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Gordon, GA. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at McCullough Funeral Home.
A veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Booth was born in Jones County, GA. He was retired from Bell South, where he worked as an engineer, and was co-founder and part owner of Polar-Temp Specialties. Additionally he was a lifetime member of VFW post #6605, the American Legion, Cootie (VFW) and also a member of Telephone Pioneers. Mr. Booth was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. His parents, Charlie and Mary Elizabeth Baston, and a brother, Charles Baston, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Booth, Warner Robins; daughters, Theresa Griffin and Susan Booth Riley, both of Warner Robins; son, Johnny Day, Cochran; brothers, Jerry M. Baston, Macon; Emory L. Baston, Jones County; and Rusty Baston, Forsyth; granddaughters, Tangel Smith Wade, Elko; Shawnna M. Garner, Tonya E. Griffin, Alicia S. Griffin, all of Thomson; Terryn S. Williams, Perry; and Melissa Day, Cochran; great granddaughter, Marie Smith, and great grandson, Kyle Lamar Smith, both of Elko; and his son-in-law, Gordon Griffin of Thomson.
