Beloved mother and grandmother Patricia Ann Smith was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, February 11, 2022. She was 83 years old.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Patricia was the daughter of the late Lonnie Arthur Hunter and Mary Lucy Shepard. She was the school secretary for Miller Elementary School for 25 years. If there was one thing Patricia had a passion for, it was traveling. She visited and lived many, many places in the United States and Europe. Her church home was Second Baptist Church and she was a faithful member. Patricia was one of the “Pink Ladies” at the Houston Medical Center where she spent many years volunteering. More than anything, Patricia adored her family and cherished every minute with them.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dewey Smith; daughters, Deborah Crocker (Dale) of Augusta, Connie Fennell (Philip) of Valdosta, and Judy Altman (Ralph) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Angela Crocker Brown (Chris), Carrie Fennell Boehringer (Craig), Emily Crocker Dorn, Jared Altman (Kelly), Bryan Fennell, David Fennell (Missy), Josh Altman (Andrea), Dan Crocker (Kim), and Jonathan Altman; and great grandchildren, Devon Fennell, Haley Dorn, Bridget Dorn, Carissa Boehringer, Isla Boehringer, Olivia Altman, Curran Brown, Everly Altman, Amelia Altman, Caleb Hawkins, Gabriel Hawkins, and Rachael Hawkins.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at McCullough Funeral Home. Her service will begin immediately following visitation at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
