It is with great sadness that we announce that our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Patricia Lashley Carper, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021. She is now in Heaven with her late son, Eddie Watson, her parents, Lumus Lashley and Adele DeVane, and other loved ones who had gone before.
Born in Ellaville, GA on March 21, 1943, Pat was first and foremost a devoted woman of the Methodist faith. It was her conviction in the Lord that gave her the ability to serve and love her family with all of her heart. Until she moved to Madison, GA, Pat enjoyed serving as a member of Fort Valley First United Methodist Church where she helped chaperone many of the youth’s activities. She was also an active member of the Fort Valley Pilots Club and helped with the Peach Festival for a number of years.
On top of retiring from Flint Energies, Pat was the proud owner of Pat’s Piddlin’s. Within her shop, she made beautiful floral arrangements, decorated lovely cakes, and was honored to cater countless weddings and parties over the years. When Pat wasn’t at the shop, attending church, or volunteering her help, you could find her playing golf with her sweet husband, Charles. They were always sure to plan a golf day on their travels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Watson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Charles Carper; her loving children, Kaye Utley (Barry), Ginger Watson and Jeff Watson (Libby); her stepdaughter, Tracye Trivison (Brian); her grandchildren, Christopher Utley (Ashton), Brent Utley (Mallory), Jordyn Pruitt (Carson), Kessler Watson, Kaitlyn Watson, Tyler Watson, Tucker Watson, Chelsea Rowell, Taylor Exum, Stormie Watson, Bella Trivison and Tucker Trivison; and her great-grandchildren, Blake and Brenner Utley, Blair Utley, Julian Gutierrez, Legend Byron, Blaize Wright and Ivey Exum.
A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating Pat’s life will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Marty Watson officiating. ***Masks are required for all guests in attendance.***
