Patricia "Pat" Joan Sanders

Patricia Joan (Holley) Sanders passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, in Warner Robins, Georgia. She was 89 years old.

Born on April 4, 1931, in Huntington, Indiana, Patricia was the daughter of the late Ralph Clayton Holley and Edith Marie (Lengel) Holley. She attended Huntington Township High School. Patricia’s compassionate personality allowed her to lovingly work with and care for the mentally ill and handicapped throughout her lifetime.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter, Karla Nugent; and grandson, Ethan Timothy Kabage.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin J. Sanders of Warner Robins, Georgia; six children, Karen Baker of Dillon, Colorado; Kathy (Norman) Eckert of Warner Robins, Georgia; Donald (Beth) Okuly and Timothy Okuly, all of Huntington, Indiana; Richard Okuly of Austin, Texas; and Pamala Okuly of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

The family of Mrs. Sanders will hold a memorial mass celebrating Patricia’s life in the near future.
