Patrick Edward Goodrich

March 14, 1953 — July 16, 2021

Patrick Edward Goodrich, a much adored family man, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 16, 2021. He was 68 years old.

For 13 years, Patrick was given a new lease on life. A heart transplant recipient, he was blessed to have that precious time with his family. He was a fighter and a hard-working man who leaves a legacy of love with his passing.

As a man in his 20s, Patrick started working for what later became Hughes Supply, eventually earning his way to becoming the branch manager. He was an extremely hard worker from a young age. For many years, he was in the plumbing and sales industry, having expertise in both of those areas. Patrick worked very hard to leave the world a better place than how he found it, leaving handprints on the hearts of all who knew him.

Patrick was an avid patriot who proudly served his country in the U.S. National Guard for six years. He was an active and dedicated member of Friendship Baptist Church for many years, serving on many of the church committees during his time at the church including the current Chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee. Family meant everything to Patrick and he loved them with all of his being. He was always willing to lend a hand to his friends and those in need.

Born on March 14, 1953 in Shreveport, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Carl A. Goodrich, Sr. and Betty Louise Oldham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Buster Brown Goodrich and Joseph Vincent Goodrich.

Those who are left to cherish Patrick’s memory include his wife Linda “Lucy” Goodrich; children, Stacy Goodrich Alligood (Ron), Chad Goodrich (Regina), Grant Goodrich, and Avery Goodrich; grandchildren, Bailey Cox, Morgan Adderhold, Cameron Goodrich, Tanner Cox, Camri Adderhold, Chase Goodrich, Ansley Cox, and Jade Adderhold; brothers, Carl Goodrich, Jr. (Martha) and Tim Goodrich (Susanne); aunt, Katherine Reid; uncle, Larry Brown; nieces, Elizabeth Dixon and Alicyn Graham (Gary); great nieces, Rylee and Jessie Kate; and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church. Patrick will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service. For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the Friendship Baptist Church Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/friendshipbaptistWR.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations be made in Patrick’s memory to the Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 1322 Feagin Mill Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the innumerable staff members, physicians, transplant team and the donor’s family who were able to give Patrick and his family those 13 more incredible years of life.
