Mr. Paul Hunt Taylor, 79, died Thursday, February 19, 2004 at the Houston Medical Center. Services for Mr. Taylor will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 21, 2004 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with a private burial following. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 P. M. on Friday, February 20 at McCullough Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Mr. Taylor was born in Portales, NM the son of the late William Irving and Sarah Ellen Taylor. He served with the 91st Cavalry in U. S. Army during WW II after which he graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 1949 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Taylor established a distinguished working career. He was employed by Douglas Aircraft Co. as a research engineer working on the Saturn V Propulsion Program. He next worked for Lockheed as a chemical engineer and then accepted an engineering position at Robins Air Force Base retiring after 22 years of service. There are three chemical engineering patents held in Mr. Taylor’s name: one U.S, one Canadian and one British.
Survivors include his wife, Louise M. Taylor; children, Cynthia Kutay, Warner Robins, Anthony Taylor, Warner Robins, Christopher Taylor, Suwanee, GA, Paul E. Taylor, Buford, GA, Teresa Fields, Dallas, GA, Harold L. Taylor, Duluth, GA, Sarah Lucius, Macon and Carolyn T. Sperandeo, Cumming; sister, Christiana King, Albuquerque, NM; and 18 grandchildren.
