Paul L. Hughes, Sr.

Paul L. Hughes, Sr., 83, entered into rest on Friday, February 14, 2014.

Paul was born on October 16, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but called Royalton, Pennsylvania his home. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base. Paul called First Presbyterian of Warner Robins his church home and was a Master Mason. In his years of retirement, he enjoyed fishing, cruising, golf, and listening to music, especially the Powersville Opera.

His son, Randall L. Hughes, Sr. and parents, Samuel Thomas and Clara Long Hughes, preceded him in death.

Paul's memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Dorothy "Dottie" Hughes, Warner Robins; son, Paul L. Hughes, Jr., Tampa, Florida; grandson, SMSgt David C. Hughes (Shayna), Minot, North Dakota; granddaughter, Stephanie Hasty (Bob), Macon; grandson, Randall L. Hughes, Jr., Warner Robins; sister, Georgia Burkett, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Dr. Robert Dilks officiating. The family will accept flowers, or donations may be given to Shriners Children's Hospital, c/o Al Sihah Shrine, P.O. Box 3147, Macon, GA 31205.
