Paul Long, Sr.

Paul M. Long, Sr., 80, entered into rest on October 31, 2010.

Mr. Long was born on December 3, 1929 in Toombs County, GA. After 35 years of employment, he retired from Robins Air Force Base in 1985. Mr. Long was a man of many talents and he truly enjoyed creating works of art, carving, and singing. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Long; brother, Kenneth Long; and sister, Marjorie Dimsdale.

His memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife of 38 years, Shirley Long, Warner Robins; children, Paul Long, Jr. (Teresa), Marietta; Sherry Long-Parker (Ed), Warner Robins; Ricky Scott (Vicki), Uvalda; Cindy Scott, Warner Robins; Stephen Scott (Janet), Warner Robins; sister, Anita Boyette (Bob), Marietta; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Bible Baptist Temple Church with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens, Reverend Charles Weber officiating. Contributions may be made to the Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
