Pauline D. Bohannon

Pauline Davis Bohannon, 77, a resident in a local nursing home, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2008. Born in Halifax County, Virginia, she lived most of her life in and around Danville, Virginia, prior to moving to Georgia in 2000. She was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Margie P. Davis of Ringgold, Virginia.

Ms. Bohannon was a member of the Kentuck Baptist Church in Ringgold, Virginia. A Registered Nurse, she worked for twelve years at a pediatric clinic and later for fifteen years at Danville Regional Medical Center. Ms. Bohannon retired in 1981 for health reasons. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde H. Bohannon, who passed away in 1976.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Sydney L. Clifton; sister, Catherine D. Hall, both Warner Robins; brother, Robert Neal Davis, Danville, Virginia; three nieces and two nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 17, 2008, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Sydney Odom officiating. Out-of-town visitation will be held Saturday, December 20, 2008, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home in Danville, Virginia, with subsequent burial in Highland Burial Park, Danville, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her memory to Central Baptist Church, 1120 Lake Joy Rd., Warner Robins GA 31088 or to the Life Saving Crew, Christopher Lane, Danville VA 24540.
