Early on the morning of Sunday, July 3, 2022, Pauline Hammond, 91, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Pauline was born on May 8, 1931, in Irwin County, Georgia to the late Thomas Young “TY” Fletcher and Thelma Statham Fletcher. She lived in Kathleen, Georgia all her adult life and worked as a data entry clerk at Robins Air Force Base. Following her retirement, she worked for Sullivan Heating and Cooling for fifteen years. She became adoptive mother and grandmother to the family of Kevin, Debbie, Bristol, Brooke, and Brittany. Pauline enjoyed knitting, crocheting, couponing, cake baking and horseback riding. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, JoNeal Brown, brother, Thomas Fletcher and nephew, Ashley Brown.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving nieces, Linda Atkins, Tina Brake, Donna Fletcher, and Caroline Brown; nephews, Tommy Fletcher, and Billy Williams; great niece and nephews, Little Tommy, Stacy, Jimmy, Kelsie, Halee, Landon, Taylor, Tammy, Neal, Jimmy, Alyssa, Skylar, Misty, John, Rebecca, Bristol, Buddy, Renee, Connor, Mellisa, Nathaniel, and Zachary.
Visitation with Pauline’s family will be Friday, July 8, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with services celebrating her life following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald.
