Pauline “Polly” Hoffman, 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Clay County Nursing Home in Ashland, Alabama. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 2, 2005, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2005, from 7 until 9 PM at McCullough Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hoffman was born on October 24, 1919, at Mobile Infirmary in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Clyde and Johnny Agnes Priest Kessler. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and retired from Robins Air Force Base. Her husband, George E. Hoffman, Sr., and beloved step-son, George E. Hoffman, Jr., preceded her in death.
She did not have any natural children but she loved and is survived by stepson, John Hoffman (Kim), Missouri; stepdaughter, Dr. Francina Hoffman, Missouri; adopted daughter and son-in-law, Gale and Carlton Crim, Talladega, Alabama; adopted grandchildren, Leah Hoffman and Erica Hinson, Missouri; Jon Hill, Michael Hill (Allison), and Stephanie Stuckey, Tallassee, Alabama; Barbara Starr (Benjamin), Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Lashawnda Tipton and Cody Crim, Odessa, Texas; nine great-grandchildren; and several friends. All were blessed by her friendship and love.
