Pauline 'Polly' Sistrunk Turner

Pauline Turner, 95, entered into rest on Monday, June 13, 2011.

Mrs. Turner was born on December 9, 1915 in Society Hill, Alabama. Polly was a longtime faithful member of Oakland Baptist Church, the Victory Ladies Sunday School class, and the Oakland Baptist Senior Citizens. A devoted homemaker, Polly loved her Lord and her family. Her husband, George Washington Turner, Jr., parents, Joel Thomas Sistrunk and Ruth Evelyn Kelly Sistrunk, five brothers and two sisters; son-in-law, Freddy Hester, and grandson, David Booth, all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters and sons-in-law, Naomi Brooks (Olan), Centerville; Dale Booth (Phil), Evelyn Hester, Claudia Farris (Joe), all of Warner Robins; Brenda Sorrow Wilson (Bob), who she considered her fifth daughter; brother, Joe Sistrunk, Society Hill, Alabama; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one due soon; and so many other loving family members and close friends.


Visitation will be Thursday, June 16, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2011 in Magnolia Park Cemetery with the Reverends Mike Winfree and Herschel Standard officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Oakland Baptist Church, 1509 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088 or to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.

Special thanks to the three "Eva's" in Polly's life; Eva Horne, who continued daily bible study with her; Sandy Lombardi and Sheryl Lang, devoted and loving caregivers.
