Peggy Ann Hobbs Meadows passed away peacefully at her home on March 24, 2021.
She was born in Ashburn, Georgia, on December 29, 1938, to the late George and Lorene Little Hobbs. In 1955, Peggy moved to Warner Robins with her family. She graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1956. Two years after graduation, Peggy married Johnny Meadows.
In her early years, Peggy enjoyed playing softball and was an avid bowler. She enjoyed traveling for those tournaments all over the Southeast. She was a clerk for K-Mart for more than 30 years before she retired.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Hobbs, nephew, Mike Hobbs, and niece, Lynn North.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Johnny Meadows; children, Brian Meadows, Rene Durfee (Kevin), and Amy Saulmon (Randy); sisters, Betty Hobbs and Ruth North (Larry); seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2021, at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with burial taking place at Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service. For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to any hospice care organization of the donor’s choice.
