Peggy Ann Harley

Peggy Ann Harley, 85, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. 

Peggy was born on August 11, 1939, in Barren County, Kentucky to the late Jewell Bryant and Lou Reed Hogue. She spent her early years in Barren County before building a life in Louisville. She dedicated many years to a career at Brown and Williamson which brought her to Georgia, where she eventually retired. 

Peggy was a woman of faith and an active, devoted member of Barfield United Baptist Church. Her greatest joy came from the time she shared with her family, creating cherished memories filled with love and laughter. Whether through her warm presence or thoughtful gestures, Peggy touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving a legacy of kindness and devotion. 

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her children, Wesley Joe Harley and Anita Gail Lucas; grandchildren, Bryan Christopher Lucas and Ryan Keith Lucas; and siblings, Leland Hogue, Patsy Hogue, Lionel Hogue, and Rachel Kidd. 

Her memory will forever be treasured by her grandchildren, Brandy Nicole Lucas, Michael Todd Lucas, Brittney Michelle Leverett (John Paul), and Brittany Nicole Harley-Rouse; great-grandchildren, Justin Tyler Lucas, Ryan Christopher Connell, Alissa Grace Connell, Lucas Paul Leverett, and Leigha Michelle Leverett; siblings, Leonard Hogue and Rita Mullins, along with son-in-law, Donny Lucas. 

Visitation will be Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, where Peggy will be laid to rest.
