Peggy Lawana Mills Warren, 75, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 17, 2013.
Peggy was born on January 13, 1938 in Kingsland, Georgia to the late Seaborn Foster Mills and Mary Jane Waters Mills. She attended Second Baptist Church where she was involved in the Helping Hands Ministries and any capacity she was asked to serve. Peggy received her Associate's degree from Brewton-Parker College where she was a cheerleader. She also played tennis and basketball in High School and later played volleyball for Charter Medical. For many years, Peggy worked as a Purchasing Agent for Charter Medical and also in retail as Manager of Bella's Classy Rags. Peggy was a delightful, charming, lady of grace. She was a wonderful cook and especially loved cooking for others. She was passionate about her family and loved to spend time with her grandchildren, including feeding the ducks. In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Charles Houston Warren, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving and devoted daughters, Lisa Everidge (Karl), Bonaire; Sherri Adcock (Joseph), Centerville; grandchildren, Mandy Camp O'Brien, Tyler Houston Bryant, Luke McGraw, Ansley McGraw, all of Warner Robins; three great-grandchildren, Miles, Mia, and Charlie O'Brien; twin brother, Joe Mills (Frances), Sanford, Florida; sister, Myrt Spell, Jacksonville, Florida; many loving nieces and nephews; a host of other loved ones and friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating Peggy's life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will greet visitors after the service in the chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street Ste. A, Macon, Georgia 31201.
