Phronie "Nonie" Cadwell, 93, entered into rest on Thursday, October 9, 2014.
Phronie was born on October 18, 1920 in Eastman, Georgia. She retired from The Macon Telegraph where she worked for ten years. Nonie was the oldest member of Northside Baptist Church where she was a member of the Jolly Elders and the Mellow Tones singing choir.
Her husband of 50 years, James F. Cadwell; parents, Robert "Preacher" and Maggie Strickland; sisters, Emily Flanders and Clyde Lee "Bill" Welch; brother, Jack Strickland, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters, Brenda Moore (Michael), Linda Forzetting (Bob), Debra Cadwell, Peggie Hainse (Al) all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Richard Thompson (Connie), Lisa Nutt (Jeff), Kimberly Plunkett (Jeff), James Tolbert, Cody Mantooth, and Leslie DeLoatch (Jacob); ten great grand-children, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the Heart of Georgia Hospice Caregivers, especially Sherri Terry.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home burial will be private.
